Begin with the campaign tutorial. Then practise one complete connection before expanding: choose an origin and destination, observe a journey, and work on the first step that fails.

Find the route and the vehicle together

- Area 1 — Choose the line in the upper list.
- Area 2 — Inspect its assigned vehicle in the middle.
- Area 3 — Read the stop sequence below. The picture repeats Tehran Station; repeated stops are not automatically a mistake.
A first route that you can actually explain
The situation. You have built several stops, but cannot tell which part of the first connection works.
Reduce the scope
Use a separate practice save and choose one origin, one destination and one vehicle to follow.
Name the intended result
Write down what should board, where it should leave, and which stop comes next.
Watch the journey
Follow that vehicle instead of judging the whole map at once. Record the first point where its behaviour differs from your plan.
What would count as a useful result?
Your first milestone is an observed pickup, delivery and return. That proves the basic journey, not profitability.
Evidence to keep: Keep the stop list and a picture of the vehicle before and after delivery.
Start with a learning objective
The official FAQ identifies the opening campaign section as the tutorial. Use it to learn the interface before treating a free-game map as a business challenge. The campaign contains eight missions; you do not have to rush through all of them to begin taking useful notes.
Give the first session a small scope
Our suggested exercise is to understand one connection from beginning to end. Write down the origin, destination, what you intend to move, and what success would look like. “Observe a complete journey” is a better first objective than “build the most profitable railway.” This is an editorial learning plan, not a tested optimal opening.
Separate learning from expansion
If a test does not work, reduce the number of variables. Do not rebuild several connections and replace the whole fleet at the same time: you will lose the ability to identify what helped. Once you can explain the result, repeat the exercise with a different kind of connection.
